The catch is held to the window frame pivot stud/shaft by a metal pin which is pressed into the latch. You need to remove the pin to remove the catch from the window frame. RonR |

Where is it broken? I have seen NOS levers on eBay for about $160(!!). Yes, they have a pin pressed into the side which sits in a groove on the pivot. A real pain to remove. Other than already stated I don't believe you can buy the levers new. |

we have 2nd hand 1/4 window assys here (complete) but rubbers are not the best & would need replacing, otherwise you could buy a 2nd hand one & fit it to your fram/glass assy Matt |

A second pair of hands comes in handy when knocking out the pin. Take your time and you'll be fine. Can remember doing this task a long time ago when I replaced the 1/4 vent seal. I did it with the whole assembly off the door |

Thanks guys. Just picked up the whole assembly 2nd hand, $25, good price I think. Now I have 2 choices, replace the rubber seal (very difficult) on that one and use it (a pain) or, remove the 2 pins and swap the handles over (potentially very difficult). Thinking I'll try and remove the pin on the broken one first and see how I go.... |
