Hi I am looking at buying a mini matic as the price seems fair. However it has been sitting in a she's for about 30 years because the auto box stop driving in forward.

It seems fairly original has still got vinyl floor.mats in it
I have only seen photo of it as it about 6 hour drive away.

It seems to have.a 850 boot lid on it it is a 1968 in Burgundy with little rust

Worth pursuing this mini or automatic mini not worth the money

Cheers Hayden

I bought my MiniMatic 25 years ago. It had the same problem.
I replaced the forward clutch plates and it was fine. I drove it for a few years before putting the motor and box into another car.
Mini automatics need regular oil and filter
changes to avoid transmission problems.
I suggest every 1500-2000 miles.

Rebuild kits are avail ... I'm doing mine right now as a matter of fact .
Forwards are an engine out job but you dont need to split the box.
Autos are what they are , love em or hate them .
Please keep an original minimatic original :) those vinyl floors are super rare . I'll have it if you don't want it :) pm me if you decide not to go through with it :)
