I was interested to see the posts that were made in here...maybe no-one has found a way of doing it without damaging the door paintwork. I certainly scratched the bejeesus out of the paint under the chrome trim that went on the door surrounds as they are such a tight fit. I'm sure some of the other mistakes I made are avoidable though and I'm shitty that I did them - eg the sharp corners of the outside chrome strip that runs horizontally along the bottom of the window aperture and quarter window. It left a mark you can see too, dammit ![]() |

I can't do links, but search "How do you remove door chrome" 31 Aug 2014 in Mini Chat; also "Stainless metal door trim round nose" 23 May 2016. Both include replacement suggestions. |

Bill B wrote: Thank you Scoop. You are obviously under 60! Where do you get the view topic and data? Bill Where the "www.ausmini.com/forums" link at the top of the page is, just select all the text, then copy and paste. E.g. this page is: "http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=93594" The forum then changes the website link to look like below. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=93594 |

Bill - and just in case you unaware of the keyboard shortcuts ... ![]() On a Windows computer hold down the Ctrl key and press the C key to copy the highlighted text to the clipboard. Put your insertion pointer where you want the data pasted, hold down the Ctrl key and press V to paste the clipboard contents. |
