So on my remote (?) gearbox/diff, the passenger cv shaft was pulled out where the small inner boot is. The outer cv joint came apart near the hub and the hub is separated from the shaft now. The spline is ok and i didnt lose any parts, is it just a matter of putting it all back together or do i need a new one? Cheers Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk |

As long as the splines are undamaged the shaft can be reused. How did it come apart? Failed rubber universal joint? |

Sounds like he has pot joints. If shaft splines are undamaged, fit new wire 'circlips' on the ends and refit. |

Its hard to describe i gues. They just got yanked out when someone was helping. They came apart in 2 places, AFTER the rubber uni, there is the inner boot where it came off. The possible BROKEN part is just behind the hub where it was clunky. Ill get pics today. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk |

All sorted, the flange was sticky and pulled the joint out. Joint was fine and its all together again. Too wet to get under it today but =( Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk |
