I've been having issues with my Weber, it's free revving at present. Tonight I changed the throttle cable with no luck. I'm guessing it's going in for repairs, any suggestions what is causing it?

Does it have throttle bypass bleed screws? If so check they are closed. Does it have an air leak? O-ring mounts can do this, so I use gaskets instead. Never given a problem.

Thanks Kev, doesn't have any bypass screws, the Weber came off a previous car, Unknown/history condition of the carburetter, it has done this before on the odd occasion, but it does it all the time now. When l get home I will take the Weber off and inspect the gasket for signs of leaking. I'm doubtful though, as soon as l start it, the revs just climb, like something internally is caught feeding air into the carb. There is a place at Bureood, who specialises in Weber servicing, thinking of taking it there to get rebuilt. Anyone uses this company before?

I took a HB Torana to Howarths Carburettor Service there in 1970, they did a great job
Doubt the same guy's are there but there still is a carburettor place there.

Could be something worn or loose in the choke (is aux carb on a Weber)? They are known to leak fuel through when worn, so many racers block it off.
The Burwood place is Carburettor Service Co. I have bought parts there, but not got one rebuilt.
Why not take it to Graham Russell or Greig Malaure, they both speak Weber. I bet the result would be cheaper.
