Post subject:  what type of cam ?

I have an old cam that has two rings around it and when the lobes are measured with a vernier the small part of the lobe is 1.088 and the large angle of the lobe is 1.350 ?
any ideas as to what this is ?

those measurements on their own probably don't mean much without angles, ramps, durations

the rings are one clue but I don't know what to

how wide are the lobes? there are 3/8" and 1/2" versions being small and big bore respectively

If it's pin drive with 3/8" lobe width it'll be a 1098 cam.

It is a pin drive 3/8" lobe width

I guess it should be the similar to the old cam but with slightly more lift which should be fine for the stock rebuild.

The 1098 cam has additional exhaust duration (22 degrees) and valve lift (0.033").
