Hi everyone,
A couple of quick questions:
What should the diameter be of a standard 1098 piston be?
Also What is the length of a steering rack? (checking to see if postable)
Thankyou,
Steve

Should be 64.588mm for std bore. Then up by approx 0.5mm for each 20 thou overbore (so +020 is 65.088mm). The pistons normally have something stamped on them if they are larger than stock - eg 020

They are often shipped in a piece of plastic plumbing pipe.

Top of a piston is way less diameter than the bore, to allow for thermal expansion.
The bore clearance at the piston skirt is only around .05mm or less, except for race motors running forged pistons, which need more.
