Another great idea.[WHITE SMILING FACE]
I wonder if anyone has tried the brake trick yet?

Hopefully Bunnings won't have a return tomorrow; look forward to your findings. 8)

It's the only way to go - I also used the reverse clamps for holding the carpet in place.

Wondering if anyone has duplicated my results with the brake pedal feel?

Yeah! I was wondering if I was the only one.
Still not sure how it works?

I had a Brake Specialist bleed and flush my Cooper. Result was I had to give brakes 1 pump to get good response. So tried the advice of loading up the pedal overnight. Perfect pedal feel next morning. Thanks for your help with this problem.

I used a length of 30x30mm pine cut to length so as not to put too much pressure on the brakes and left for a few hours as I had to fuel it up for the Aussie Day run tomorrow morning. Even after just a few hours it worked! So much better having that higher pedal and not having to pump every time. Thank you. :D
