The Uk parts companys are a fair way away to ask advise
about Aussie cars , esspecially when their UK cars are totally different to ours

so I have installed the motor in the sub frame of my project, fitted universals, only to find there is too much play in the diff output shaft. so pulled it all down and removed the diff. can people shed light on most likely worn parts to replace. - there is lateral movement in both shafts, - the crown wheel side moves in and out approx. 0.63mm from what the feeler gauges says - seems to be some movement in the main pit that holds the spider gears. ideas on how to repair, would a kit from mini spares fix it? do I need new bearings? how do you get the bearings off?

I agree, Some people don't understand how much work we do sourcing the right quality parts and keeping stock. Makes it very hard for us when people direct others to buy from overseas when parts can be bought here. Support suppliers that support the local Mini community. We are always here with friendly advice like Matt said.
