Hi All,
With Masters closing down all fixings are 50% off. As I'm doing a full restro I figured this would be a good time to get some nuts and bolts. I've heard of the "mini in a box/ bucket" but can't find it anywhere. The kit listed on minisport.com.au wasn't totally suitable for Australian minis and they are currently trying to source a more appropriate kit I was told.

This list of engine bolts (viewtopic.php?f=25&t=84418) is extremely helpful but I am hoping to replace near all the bolts in the mini. Does anyone have a full list of nuts, bolts, washers, spacers, etc? In either a complete list of broken down per section of the mini.

If not, I will most likely end up creating my own list by going through the moss online shop (http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop-by-mo ... front.html) and just simply tallying the fixings up

Cheers,

I have bought a few sets of misc Mini type nuts and bolts via eBay from British sources. Over the course of the build I've bought 2x sets of high tensile and 2x sets of stainless.

Eg one set "SENT: 363 PCS CLASSIC MINI COOPER UNF BOLTS KIT & NUTS & STAR LOCK + T4 WASHERS" but they came with star lock washers.

I preferred an earlier set I got from this bloke as it include split washers. Heaps better.

Edit: this is not a set of one of everything you need. But it includes virtually every nut, bolt and washer of the types needed. Best decision I made was to buy these kits. You have to source your own self tappers but those are available everywhere. And some specialty items like those used to secure the inner door handles or the window winder mechanism etc etc. Which you get through Minisport, MKO etc

In case it helps I believe MKO has the plastic boxes with mixed UNF nuts, bolts and washers for the Mini. Not on the website yet so you'll nned to phone for information, pricing, etc.

These are the mini in a box sets, about $600 landed but you can get 2 full nut and bolt restos out of a box and have left overs. Im on my second kit and always handy to have the exact bolt you need for fixing all sorts of things nut just minis.

I went to our local Masters over the weekend and cleared out what little useful imperial stuff they had. Rather surprisingly they had a lot of automotive fuses, relays, roll pins, trim clips etc (most on sale for $1 in little packs!).

The "A-Series-Spares" guys have their kits on sale at the moment too
