Post subject:  Mini 1275 build help

Hey guys I have recently bought a mini Leyland van, I am new to it all my plan is to do an old school 1275 build, I have a cooper s head and have a set of twin Carbys don't know if they are Su or not would like to find out, if anyone can help me with what to do.

Step 1 - take all that crap off the roof of the car so you don't damage it :idea: :D

ah, well there you go - that's likely to be the original 998 or 1098 cc engine, so if you want to build a 1275cc, the first thing you need to do is buy a 1275cc engine :)

a 1275cc engine is physically different internally to what's in your car, bolting a cooper s head on won't work

go and talk to Link Automotive in Mitcham or Mini Spares and Repairs in Seaford
