Hi all,

Just thought I would let you know issue 91 of Muscle Car Magazine goes on sale tomorrow.

It is a fantastic issue for us mini fans and includes no less than 13 pages dedicated to the history of the Cooper S in production, racing and police cars. There is a few photos of current and former cars owned by Ausmini members, as well as stories from a couple of great mini drivers from the era plus lots more.

BTW I have no commercial arrangement with MCM so this is not intended as an advertisement or endorsement

Thanks, just got a copy. Lots of mini stuff throughout and a short interview with Bob Holden. I just ordered the new DVD "50 years of the mini - celebrate the mighty minis 1966 Victory at Bathurst" which is advertised in the mini pages. $30- delivered. 120 mins, 18 mins of Bathurst win and footage of Neptune team and minis racing in muscle car series. Thought I would see what it's like.

Just got a copy and had a quick flick through to discover there is a picture of my cooper s on the bottom of Fred Gibson's column on page 30 :)
Now I need to go out and buy another copy to keep for posterity sake.
Cheers
Rod

Its a great addition to all the memories from the trip - I think I'll have to remove the page (hence the need for another copy), frame it, and add it to all the other photos and memorabilia from both 2006 and 2016. To have a picture of my car with Fred's recollection of the race is more than I could have hoped for. Vaughan and Lane was a dealership in Hurstville which was also cool as I grew up there (well I lived in Allawah which is next door)

Cheers
Rod

I bought a copy today, & it features an excellent Sea-mist Green Cooper S that I enjoyed seeing a few weeks ago...
Well done Fred!
