*caution, possible dumb question*

Hi all,

Im wondering if all the engines and boxes we have in Australian minis are Aussie made, uk made or a combination?

I understand that later units were Aussie "assembled" but were they still uk cast?

Eg, if I have a Aussie rod shift Box would it be an identical casting to a uk rod shift Box?

I appreciate any help,

Silas

Gearbox casings were all imported I think. But Borg Warner did make some gear sets here.
Blocks were cast in UK, but the ones with Y in the number front prefix eg 9Y, 10Y, 12YD, 12YE were assembled here. Machined here, I am not sure.
