With a good battery and starter motor, does anyone know what the typical cranking rpm would be on a 1275 with 11:1 comp. ratio head? I'm trying to figure out what ignition advance to set on my stealth box and at what rpm for best starting performance.. Cheers Michael |

The dizzy will fire at TDC during cranking, which I'd guess is around 120rpm max. The change point to black box timing is 200 RPM or whatever is keyed into the RPM sync field on LH of screen. But instructions say to leave this. My 1st point in black box advance curve is 5deg @ 10rpm, is probably superfluous. I will change this to 500rpm. 2nd point is 11deg @ 1000rpm. It starts fine now, in hot or cold weather. With LUCAS starter.
