Post subject: | Waterpump pulley removal |
Hi all, New waterpump going in after cooling issues and new thermostat. The pump was a hi-flow one which looked fine when removed, BUT bypass hose had clogged and corroded the part where it fits to the pump. What would be the best way to remove the waterpump pulley from the pump without using a BFH? Don't want to damage the pulley, and don't have any specialized tools availale. Any help gratefully welcome! |

Spay with CRC or similar. Sit the pulley on top of a vice with the pump just hanging down, nothing secured in the vice. Couple of sharp taps with the smaller Hammer. |

Thanks, Had soaked it as you said, and managed to fit it in the vice - tapped the pump, not the pulley and it worked. Cheers for that. ![]() |
