Was stumbling around christmas day in a country town in SA and saw an abandoned shell in someones house in which i am told they have seen no one live in 15 yrs. Walked around the back to have a look and counted 9 morris minis , 2 were windowless vans and a leyland in lets just say appaulingly rusty condition, lol. There was a shed which on looking through the window looks to have two more a windowed morris mini van and a morris mini of some sort. I wont divulge location yet as i am sussing out the owner ( trying to track them down)and possibility of ones in shed for sale. Was an interesting christmas walk!!! The ones outside were pretty much unrestorable, some with motors, some without. I wish i had a camera at the time!!

That sounds interesting!

I wonder if I can guess the town?

I stumbled across the same thing virtually about 12 years ago as well.

Leave a note on the door.....you never know.

Did that on an old Clubman with disc brakes and twin tanks sitting rusting in front of someone' s house and had a call a few months later while overseas.........wasn't in the position to grab it so didn't follow up later....

I know people in the town, so they are tracking down house owner, but it is overgrown and unlived in for at least 15 years

Every year I hit one of these. Was doing a country tour in a datto last year and stumbled across a cashe of minis in a back yard, owner was on his last legs, but remembered the good old days, left my number with the son. Son was keen to clear the sheds. This year hit another around the Cnr from my holiday spot, still have to make contact with owner but they were all "in the grass"
Best ever was Driving past a tiny town in west vic and spotted a round nose poking outta a tiny shed, pulled in and no one about, had a quick nosy and bam... 16 minis across three sheds. Almost wet myself and had to keep going, I came back a month later and finally met the owner, he was the district school bus driver and mini nut! Showed me the rest of his cashe, I fell in love with his original 997 though it had s disk upgrade.
What scares me the most is knowing my cashe will be a barn find once I'm gone as the son has no interest.
