After being distracted for a few years I'm back with a deadline. My son is getting married 25 March and his Fiancé wants to use the Mini as her Bridal Car. - Talk about pressure.

Blew off the cobwebs and swept up the dust and dirt and got back to installing the disc brakes. Needed new pot joints so that's why it stopped and never got started when they arrived. Now the manual says the lower arm pivot pin must have a 7.9mm dip in the middle - mine looks new (did these sooo long ago I cant remember if they are new or not) but the dip is only 7.0mm - is that with tolerances?

Probably. It's near enough.
Is just for driveshaft clearance; the original 850 had a straight pin and it sometimes fouled the driveshaft, so they designed the bent pin.

BTW, welcome back.... ;)

Thanks Kev - thought so just wasn't sure if the original was straight or less bent
