Has anyone tried this on there mini glass? Any tips,tricks and was it a success?

I was told do not use abrasives on toughened glass (Mini windows, also early front windscreen) or it can go BANG!

I've used it with some success on my Marcos's toughened screen. It's a very slow process, but the screen went from unroadworthy to roadworthy, still not 100%, but definitely worth the effort. As Doc said, be careful not to generate too much heat with the buffing disc as it may shatter the screen.
