Just wondering whether anyone might have a drawing/sketch of the front hydro pipe covers as found on the earlier minis? I have the rear pair (see photo), but the front pair were missing from the car when I bought it.

Any help would be appreciated?

Good luck in the hunt for the front covers, but it looks like DavidE can help you there!
Just as an aside, I am pretty sure that these were galvanised & not painted to the body colour?

That is so.

That seems to be correct. The ones on my '66 mini were obviously original, a bit scuffed but definitely galvanised - not painted.

I would be interested to see a photo of both of these front and rear covers on a car. My car (1968) has the long ones underneath but I don't recall seeing these front and rear covers when I stripped the car down. I better get a manual out to see where they go or are they pre my car? Cheers.

I think these shorty end ones were only used until the introduction of the full length covers.

Thanks gtogreen1969, that link is pretty useful. It looks like one of the cover holes mounts to the front sub-frame mounting bolt with a spacer of some sort. Can anyone confirm this?

I bought the front pair of covers as kindly offered by DavidE. If there is any interest, when I receive them, I could measure and create a drawing.

If you have the full length covers, you don't need these four quarter covers.

Just to clarify, the only "spacer" is the thickness of the 5/16 inch UNF nuts & spring washers holding the subframe to the body. The skid plates are held by internal star washers and 5/16 inch UNF nuts.
