Hi all, My name is Anthony, I'm new to the forum and new to minis. My wife and I are on the hunt for a Rover mini. The plan is for the car to be used only a couple times a week, club gatherings (planing on joining a club in due course) and hopefully in future the odd "soft" track day. So if you may all be so kind: 1. Any tips on mini clubs to join? I'm in SE Suburbs of Melb Victoria 2. Anyone got leads on a 1998-2000 Rover mini? BSCC preferred but not limited to. Only real limitation is that it has to be manual. Many thanks in advance for all your help! |

"Sports Pack" was an option pack with wider wheels, arches, spot lights, etc on the later cars. Attachment: IMG_5780.PNG 1998 brochure here http://www.minipassionmini.50megs.com/p ... 201998.pdf That looks like a nice one! The Paul Smith had some funky colours and trim |

From what I have seen, the P.S. editions seem to all be that blue with the "fluro" green ascents, if I am not mistaken it should have a "fluro" green rocker cover. |

Yes sir. It does. Here's a little write up I found about them from "www.thelastminis.com" This highly desirable limited edition was designed by fashion designer Paul Smith. Painted in a special shade known as 'Paul Smith Blue' with contrasting Citrus Green details (such as the glove box and rocker cover). Sitting on Charcoal-coloured Mini Cooper Sports style 12" wheels, the Paul Smith also sported a 9ct gold enamelled bonnet badge and Citrus Green map of the British Isles on the grille. Unique instruments and black leather seats featured on the inside, along with a special denim tool bag. PRICE WHEN NEW: £10,225 YEARS PRODUCED: 1998 (1800 made, 300 for the UK) COLOURS AVAILABLE: Paul Smith Blue INTERIOR TRIM: Black leather 'Paul Smith' interior with Citrus Green details The marketing info taoem from "classic driver" says: This car is a (very) limited edition launched in 1998, designed by Paul Smith for Rover Group UK with very unusual details. Only 1800 units were sold with the following mix : 800 in Paul Smith blue (300 for the UK and 500 for Japan), 500 in black and 500 in white (both for the Japanese market too). This rare model has many specificities : - green Great Britain isle badge on grille - 9ct gold enamelled "Paul Smith" bonnet badge - Paul Smith rear winder sticker - Black leather trim, Paul Smith-scripted instrument graphics - Citrus Green glovebox interior, petrol tank and solid boot liner - Charcoal grey Minilite alloy wheels - Special "Paul Smith" denim jack & tool bag Yadda yadda yadda... I'm just stoked to be officially pimped as a mini owner. The fact it's a 1-800 limited edition in original condition is a bonus. I bought it to drive, and not as a museum piece. I'm yet to drive another car that feels as fun while only doing 60kph. Cheers |
