Hi All,

This is a photo of a new water pump. Noting how far, the impellor is away from the body. This is not good, as it creates cavitation, resulting in what you can see in the photo's below. This impellor, I press on further to about a 5-10 thou gap.

This is the result of what happens, the cavitation is starting and you can see where it is being eaten away. Note, you can see the impellor is starting to be eaten away due to the cavitation.

This is another shot showing the cavitation and how far away the impellor is away from the body.

This is the end result, if left for too many years... and much to my surprise, this motor didn't overheat. Only a std. 998, but still, amazing it did'nt get hot.
