Does anyone know if any of the Australian Mini businesses are selling new or fully refurbished rear radius/trailing arms similar to these from Huddersfield in the UK. I can't find any local sellers online. http://minispares-online.co.uk/recondit ... ssic-mini/ I know you can buy the shaft/bearing/bush kits but I'm doing a hydro to dry conversion and need two dry type trailing arms. |

I converted Jenk's wet arms to dry by cutting the stud off and then tapping the stub axle 3/8 UNF. Add a grade 8 bolt, and voila. |

Thanks Doc, seems like a much cheaper solution. I did consider trying to press the pin out and replace it with a dry type but I believe it's a real SOAB to do. I guess Hilos are needed to lengthen the ride height if converting the wet arms as according to the MiniMania info page on this: "Now, to avoid all sorts of hassle, it really is strongly advisable to use dry-type radius arms. The hydro design will see your Min fall flat on it’s arse unless you get some severely lengthened rear trumpets." |

If you have them, use the extension rods from the hydro bags rather than the ones that are supplied with hi los. On the hydro ones, the pin that fits in the hi lo or hydro bag is sprung in the end of the rod. The spring stops everything coming loose when the car is off the ground if lowered from standard. We had to shorten them by around 25mm, but there are two different lengths, and it sounds like this might not be needed if you keep the hydro trailing arms. |

These look nice, but for coil spring rear only and a cool 129,600 yen which is about AUD1500 https://www.turtle-trading.co.jp/store/ ... d=10006497 |
