Came across this Fuel Sender today. Trying to find out if it came from a late 850 or a early Deluxe?
As it has features relating to both.

Check the ohms reading from empty to full. 250-19 ohms if its post Sep 1964. 83-3 ohms prior to this. I think. Maybe.

Have checked the ohms reading as well as one can, we are going from 90-6 which means it is not suitable for our 850 gauge.

It does have a number FTS2330/00 were our 850 one's have the number FT2330/05 (which means nothing to us)

It still seems an odd sender, as it does not have push on terminals as I thought all Deluxe's had. It has a removable tin float also.

Thank you

The mk1-forum spoke about these senders. http://mk1-forum.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9515

According to AKD3509, the change from the senders retained by screws to those retained by a lock ring was at body no 23174 (in February 1964?). The lock-ring senders initially had the same stud & nut electrical connections as the earlier screw-in type and were used with the same fuel gauge. In September 1964 a revised lock-ring sender with Lucas terminals was introduced along with a new fuel gauge and the change to voltage-stabilised instruments.

The night is late :) . We have a few questions about your AKD's so will open a few bonnets and boots tomorrow and come back to you.

That would make sense as we were a few months behind UK changes.
