I've got a couple, my best is an MVF? 1900kg from K-Mart.
Its lowered height is same as my small one, but it lifts higher and is more stable.

I have heaps.. bort 4 in one go at a sale at super crap once.. $17 or $19 each.. there 1500 or 1900 kg.. got one in my falcon daily driver.. dads got one.. got one in our car trailor.. and also have a huge 3 tonne one in the shed.. thats handy.. but can be sometimes too heavey to get around.. so i use the smaller ones in that case.

asfar as im concerned.. a jack is a jack.. i never get under a car without axle stands and insurance blocks, all it has to do is lift it up and hold it there for 2 mins

cheers

I bought a pack from Supercheaps....

1x trolley jack
2x axle stands
2x wheel chocks
1x mechanics seat on wheels

$70 I think for the lot. Has all worked well so far. No deaths to report.

I picked up one of those spiffy aluminium trolley jacks from the markets last sunday, 1500kg capacity 3 year warranty, my 9 y/o step daughter can pick it up & carry it around, plus i haggled & got it $30 cheaper, im now eyeing off some alloy jack stands @ $99 a pair, yummy, i can throw out some of my other 5 trolley jacks now.

I hear ebays a good source of cheap trolley jacks....

they have some of those superlow nes on there... most of us mini people need one of those... i know i have to physically lift my car up so i can get the jack under the front subframe rod mount :?

or just drive it onto a block of wood to get an inch more height..(tell me about it  )

Not a big fan of the Supercheap ones, but as was said as long as it gets the vehicle up high enough to get it on jack stands.

I got a 2000kg one from trade tools for (from memory) $165. The tin foil ones from supercheap can't compare. But this thing is bloody heavy to lug around. Still, i'll be getting a 2nd one once I have my shed.

Oh, and it's RED too :D 8) :P

I have a small trolley jack that cost me $5 at a swap meet - Went down as fast as you pumped it up. Nothing to loose I pulled it apart and found all the 'o' rings stuffed but had a problem in they were imperial and not metric so it took some time to find replacements. There was one washer/seal that was impossible to find until I got onto an importer/ distributor not far from home that had every one I needed - problem was he sold in cartons  When he found out what I was doing he split open some boxes and gave me one of each no charge :D Works great now only trouble is its missing the little cap thingy on the lifter.
