just a quick enquiry to the gurus out there.
After removing the engine for working on the diff. i loosen too many head bolts to attach the lifting lug
anyway i have to replace the head gasket.
There is quite a bit of carbon build.
Question is this a fuel problem setup/timing problem or other?
the pistons and head were fully overhauled and has only done approx 2000 miles.
just looking at an old post Doc mentioned this can be from age but as my engine hasnt done many miles

pistons seems to be cleaning up ok with a scourer.
will tackle the head and check valve seats tomorrow.
Thanks in advance

I have used Citric acid a lot to clear rust.
How would it go on head. Anyone tried?

I have used CLR to clean the carbon build up on my rotors in my rotary engines in the past it works wonders.
Give that a shot.
