It's a bit more work than simply swapping the engines if you're keeping the fuel injection. It'll need an injection fuel tank and return line, wiring loom, also the driveshafts for pot joints are different to earlier cars, etc. |

Lens got my mini right at the moment, i dont think he was incredibly keen on wanting to take engine out lol. |

You can fit a carb and normal distributor and get rid of the injection. There are many people in the UK who have done just that. Its then much easier to get running in an older car. I'm not sure if the SPI auto gearbox is any different to the earlier one you'd have. |
