Does anyone know when oil coolers went from being engine mounted to behind the grille?

Did the engine mounted oil coolers result in no angled reinforcing bracket or was there still a vertical bracket or maybe no bracket at all

Thanks all

66 sometime. Not sure exactly..

Mine is April 66 and has vertical oil cooler type.

It has vertical brace at the front rather than slanted and no flattened front valance.

Also has no tabs in the boot, but just holes.

First car with oil cooler behind grille is believed to be car number 1344 and was an Aug/Sept 66 build.
