Looks like 2 single carbs on a twin carb manifold to me.

Sports 850 kits were just two individual carbies. In fact the kit only came with the manifold, linkages and one carby with the idea being that they were paired with the cars original.

... and from memory the choke only worked on 1 carby, there was no connecting linkage.
I used to tune one way back when.

AUD 13 is a pretty common carby for the 1100 range. (1962 - 1971)
AUD 368 is a later 1100 carby fitted to the UK models. (1971 - 1974)

That manifold is a bit different in the casting to the usual ones that I have seen.

When you get this sorted, I'd be interested in fitting up some twin 1-1/4"s to a warnerford manifold. I bought some linkages fm Minspares UK and I have not tried to fit them up. I thought I needed symmetrical HS2s to do the job.

Anyhow, we'll talk soon re the calendars.

Festive greetings, Wayne

Did these 850 Sports Twins come only with a Manton manifold or something else?

Yes that was Manton. These 1100 and 850 kits were much the same, from memory.

There are a couple of old posts about the Sports 850, from what the user "Sports850" says here the manifold type changed depending on the dealer that installed it:

Mini experience also has an article on them
