If you increase your engine size by less than 20% in NSW do you need a blue slip ? |

You wouldn't need to get it engineered if it is optional for the model. It is a brown slip if i recall to change the engine number. But if engine number same, like for 1152 c in a 998 block, all you need to do is update your insurance. If in doubt go see the Service .NSW people. They seem ok. |

I never had RTA problems when fitting a 1275 to 850, Minimatic or clubbies. As they are basically the same body design and a 1275 version was an option from 1965 on. Just needs a blue slip as stated. And disc brakes fitted, as Cooper S has them. |

For a historic plated car , I booked in for a blue slip the dude rang the technical dept and they said a pink slip with the new engine no. in the notes ,down to the RMS filled out the change of details form handed it over the counter with the engine receipt and rego papers , job done , it appears for historic cars they are not that fussed about engine changes as long as the new engine originally came from a mini . |
