There are 4 AEG573 manifolds that I have seen. You would have to check with the rivet counters at show and shines but I think any manifold showing the AEG573 should be ok for a MK2S. The first casting was numbered AEG573 only and very roughly as well. The AEG573 was located at the front right. Attachment: Early AEG573 manifold.jpg The second was AEG573 P. The first of these used the early manifold and just added a P below it. Attachment: Early AEG573 P.jpg They then re-casted the manifold and the AEG573 P was moved up to the top of the manifold. Attachment: AEG573 P.jpg The fourth was actually used on the Clubman GT. It used the later casting but had the AEG573 ground off, the P remained and then the number 12G2463 was stamped into it upside down. Attachment: 12G2463 CLUBMAN GT AEG573 ground off and stamped 12G2463 upside down.jpg I don't have any documentation to back up my findings. Only what I have seen. |
