Yeah they have a website too, http://kenelder.tsx.org/ but watch for all the *&*^&%^ popups there... ![]() That $3,500 price will not get it running in the car- you will need more cubic$$... <edit> For flow comparisons of this head with others, check out http://www.planet.eon.net/~chichm/tech/8-port.htm ![]() |

so let me get this right..... you pay $3500 for a 8 port head (no motor, box, carbs or anything) that will get you what maximum 140hp with a killer 1380. Sorry but i just dont see the value in that, especially if you need to get a 1275 to put it on, carbs, upgraded box (still 4 speed) etc, you will be looking at over $8000 easy, but hey if you wanted to go all out on an a series then this is they way i spose. |

For sure... I would so rather spend that money on getting a 4EFTE squeezed in! ![]() ![]() |

At a time when GR is seeing 155HP numbers on the engine dyno from 1300 A series 5 ports with one Weber, he said he got 170+ from one with an Elder 8 port (after porting) and 2 Webers. Seems a lot of trouble and $$$$ spent for 15 or 20 ponies.. I'll take a BMW K100 bike head instead, thanks! Or put a down payment on a KAD twin cam head...? nah, I'll take the Bimmer! ![]() |

Ahh, but think about an 8-port head, tuned headers into a GT2.5 Turbo, then on the induction side, you could have tuned-port intake runners and EFI ........... 1310 + 14Psi + Well controlled Fuel and Ignition = Excess of 200Bhp ? Almost worth $3500+ ...... Then again, I've been looking at the spare 12G202 head I have here... Wonder how hard it would be to do the old "Escort-Downdraft" trick on it..... (Braze in some new intake runners ........) hhhmmmmm ![]() J |

Have (use of) milling machine ...can use.... ![]() Why f**k a good 202 head- let's try a garden variety 12A1456 first! Exhaust ports are the same anyhow and you aren't gonna use the inlets. Put 'em in on the spark plug side... then you can cram 4 in there, not 2.. I would use Araldite or Devcon instead of brazing it, for a trial to see if it works. ![]() |

Who Needs 8 ports when you got a Turbo ? Kev, We'll chat more about this I think..... I've got a contact with an "experimental" EFI COmputer that I can probably "BETA" test for him..... Otherwise, I'll find a Wolf 3D or similar to start with (Chris has a Motec M8 we could Borrw, yes ?) Cheers J |
