Nothing to see here. I don't want to date a windscreen. I have a mini Triplex Laminated windscreen and was hoping to date it's manufacture. It has a DOT above the 'I' in TRIPLEX and google doesn't seem to be my friend, it also has a dot below the 'R' in "ASRI" Please help. |

My 68 build S still has the original screen and there is a small dot above the E in TRIPLEX. The marking on the screen is nothing like the one in the pic though. Mine says laminated and has other codes which mean???? Its also just behind the rear view mirror at top centre of the screen and marked to be read from inside the car. Edit: There is a dot below the E of LAMINATED which means the 8th year of the decade hence 68 and the E in TRIPLEX means July, Aug, Sept. This corresponds to the build date of my car which is the approx. the last quarter of 1968. RonR |
