Just had a look at the Australian engineering drawing for these parts, called Cover, Radius Arm with part numbers HYA3808 (RH) and HYA3809 (LH). The drawing was issued 6/4/1965, which is the date the Oz manufactured parts replaced the UK equivalent parts - 14A6615 and 14A6616. The drawing shows a single hole in that spot.

The only change documented on the drawing is on 15/5/1975 when the finish was altered from "body colour" to "grey".

Maybe the part with two holes is of UK or other non-Oz manufacture, or even aftermarket.

In any case, the Oz part is exactly the same as the UK part, just manufactured locally, partly to boost the Government's local content incentive at the time. The same applied to most other parts. The UK engineering drawing was simply given an Australian part number and then manufactured here.

When you say "on Google" you are actually looking to purchase the Oz versions, yes? If that's the case you are very unlikely to find them New Old Stock. As far as I know the Oz Mini parts outlets all sell the UK version (with the two holes) under the UK part numbers.

If you are happy with used Oz covers there should be plenty about. Put a Wanted advert on here, or try contacting the parts suppliers who dismantle cars.

If you have one with a 2 hole what's wrong with welding up the other hole and sanding flush
