I am a first time visitor here. The dealer near my home has this demo car I can pick up for a reasonable (by BMW standards) drive away price. I thought I would ask for known issues. It has the automatic transmission, 3 cylinder motor and so on. Thanks |

Firstly, nice car and I wish you best of luck with whatever you buy. Quite a few members on Ausmini have a BMW Mini and it could be that someone on here can give you some good advice, however this forum is really aimed at the traditional BMC/Leyland Mini from the fifties/sixties/seventies/eighties. I suggest that you contact a forum like Mini2.com which focuses on modern Minis. Good luck. |

A 2017 will still have most of its new car warranty - any well known issues (manufacture faults) are likely to be covered by that and by the time the cars is out of warranty the problems you could be having will be to do with the cars age which I'm not sure if the F56 is upto yet. |

Thanks for the help My point though is that whilst the warranty period is 3 years there is a chance of setting up for future care free motoring by taking additional steps perhaps not documented. From what I can read it looks like the oil and transmission fluids should be changed more regularly than recommended for example. However is that all? |

This group has a BMW mini section as well, just so you know. Welcome all the same. But yes, only issue I’ve heard of F56s so far headlights annoy oncoming traffic because they make people think you’ve got full beams on. Haven’t heard anything else yet but then, they haven’t really been out long enough for anyone to do some serious mileage in one! |
