Hey All,
The 67 is in a wedding in few weeks time and I want to give it some serious love before hand. She needs to be looking her shiny best!
I am on instagram and have seen some mini owners using auto finesse products... are there any comparable products available in the Aussie market? I need to get my hands on some pronto.

I used to be into car detailing a lot more and tried a whole bunch of products, pretty much hadn’t touched a buffer/polisher for 10+ years until this year.

I know back when I was in to it a lot of the enthusiasts seemed to thnk Meguiars products were just alright, but I managed to pick up some Meguiars Ultimate Compound, Polish and wax at 1/2 price and was very impressed with the products!

I've used Meguiars Scratch X to remove swirl marks and then finish with their carnauba wax.
The scratch X removes all other polish/wax and removes/fills swirls and leaves the paint unprotected, then you must polish it with a protective wax.
Always been happy with the results.

For a good final finish, Meguiars Wet Look does a good job.

Absolutely. Amazing results, especially on a dark car. Apparently Boss Gloss is even better but i haven't tried it yet!

I've got boss gloss it's good but fully slick seems to give me the best shine. I'm going to a Bowdens detailing tomorrow night hopefully l learn a lot. I have 2 white cars.

Best results I’ve ever got (and what I still do) is polish the car first with polishing compound (I use menzerna polishes) and DA polisher which removes the scratch/swirl then seal with a good sealant - Bowden, meguires, etc
I’ve still got Scratch-X but pretty sure it is a filler (I.e it fills the scratch or swirl) but as your sealant diminishes with time the swirls/scratch comes back.
Really depends on how far you want to go and how bad the defects are.
I’ve found Car Care Products to be really good at providing advice to match products to the amount of effort and/or result you want.

PS - it can (and it has for me) take a full weekend to polish and seal a car :( but the results can be worth it :)
Cheers
Rod

Went with the meguiars scratch x and a gloss polish. Came up a treat but really needs a respray!

AMMO NYC on youtube has alot of good info as well. Yes he plugs his own product, and is 4 episodes into a "free" detailing "school".

Most of what he says is just build up your layers of protection. Rinse and repeat.(yes pun intended)
