How do you tell the difference between a 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 SU carb?
Bit of a dumbass question...sorry.....

How do you tell the difference between a 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 SU carb? Bit of a dumbass question...sorry.....

The big round chamber on the top is smaller on an HS2 than the HS4. You may have to compare them to find out. Unless their is an easier way. |

Yes an HS4 carb is a 1-1/2". As said, the dashpot on top is bigger than an HS2 (1-1/4"), also the mounting holes onto the manifold are diagonal on the HS4. Size is measured where it bolts to the manifold. Intake hole size is a bit smaller. |
