Post subject: | Smiths Tacho |
Hey guys, i was pottering around my girlfriends dads shed when to my excitement i came across a smiths tacho in awesome condition. Only thing is i dont know if i can use it on my mini. Firstly it only goes up to 40 x 100. On the face the other writing says RPM, x 100, 2-1, SMITHS, made in UK, RVP 1002/04, 24V. And on the back it has a sticker for the various wire plugs and they say "NEG V", "GEN X", "POS & GEN Z" So can i use it or if not is it worth anything to anyone?? Ive inlcuded pics of it below thanks trent ![]() ![]() |

Not suitable for a Mini. 24v = 24 volts = truck 4000rpm = truck gex x and gen z would be how they pick up the impulse from the diesel engine (no ignition system) they pick up from the generator or alternator. |
