Hey All
Just thought I'd tell you guys about the Motorkhana I went in on Sunday just gone (July 31st). It was run by the North Shore Sporting Car Club and was a round of the Group 7 Inter-Club championship. It was at the Eastern Creek Skid-Pan.
It was an awesome day. It was my first ever Tarmac Motorkhana, and took a little getting used to. JESUS the car slides around a heap more than on the dirt

- as the video evidence of my first turn suggests!!! In the end, I scored 8th outright so I'm pretty happy with that. Just need more practice!!
I Couldn't believe a guy turned up in a bloody Ferrari to do motorkhana!!
That's Ok though because I beat him so I'm happy. My Mini is better than a Ferrari at SOMETHING!!!!
Here's a link to the
results if anyone's interested - a nice win by John McMechan from our club (provisional only). There's a chance that Allan Ross (who is listed as second) may have had one or two test times stuffed up and may be renamed as the winner, but either way it's a Mini and he's from our club so I'm happy. The results make interesting reading if just from the point of view of seeing some of the car types that competed.
And a piccie to show you guys some of the wide range of cars competing. Geez it was fun!!
