The tie bar where it goes through the front of the subframe has the 2 large rubber bushes one inside and one outside. The question is how far do you tighten the nut also I suppose you would have to check the wheel base to make sure both sides are the same, Next question has anyone noticed a different taper on the heavy tie rods seems like the wont go in far enough as the nyloc nut is still protruding from the threaded rod TY P7676 |

well you at least need a bit of thread poking out of the nyloc, otherwise it'll come off. Later model tie bars had a hole for a split pin to stop the nut from coming off I reckon the design is for the outer washer to go over the thread, and then when the nut is tightened it should be hard up against the stepped shoulder on the bar. However, the nut is the only caster adjustment, so the wheel alignment bloke usually adjusts the squish on the rubber to even them up and take up any bend on the bar etc. |

1 tie rod is perfect plenty of thread, the other one has been machined at the wrong angle never seen this before .I will get a new one and send this one back to the supplier. I never had these problems with Corvettes or Chryslers. |
