All NSW residents should use the following link to voice concerns over bad roads!

http://www.mynrma.com.au/saferroads/take_action.asp

In my neck of the woods, there are roads / intersections that are so dangerous and in need of action, yet if people don't speak up nothing will ever be done.

I have just used that link for a few intersections....ones that have accidents almost every day.

Get onto it!!!!

i was being a little tongue-in-cheek, but it would be nice to think they'd replicate a lot of the stuff they've done between the Byron turn off and the Tweed along the whole thing. dual lanes, 110 speed limit, good surface etc.

better roads would not only be safer, but it would mean less time for people to get places, which also means less time for goods to get between locations, which means better productivity, and saves everyone money. makes perfect financial sense - if only the states and the federal governments could agree on it and get it done.

As a mini driver and motorcyclist I disagree.

Have you driven the old highway from Byron through Baringbar and Mooball through to Mur'bah? That piece of road is frickin awesome. Wide, steep, twisty, smooth, and virtually no traffic. Have to watch the piggy that patrols on the bike tho.

My bike loves it. Can pretty much hold it flat. Knee down. Watch the two speed cameras though (they are sign posted, so no real problem).

If you do get down there, there is also a great piece of road between Mur'bah and Currumbin. I used to do it on the bike all the time. Nice and tight, so little machines have the advantage. I love taking wankers with big bikes up there, especially if they think they are the crap.

guess it depends what you're up to. if you're on a long haul, the new stuff is good. if you're out for some fun, the old road is the goer.
