What's the plan for the sunday Graham? |

Sunday should go like this!: 8.00 am breakfast in the park (Wallsend). Me personally cooking yer bacon and eggs! nominal $5.00 for brekky, just to cover the costs, This will help those staying in the F1 motel as they don't offer much, and the park is just over the road! 9.00 am (ish) Depart for morning convoy run, ripping up some of the better 'country twisty roads' around here, doing what Mini's do best...Driving! ..... ending up in Historic Morpeth. Lunch in Morpeth and wander around this historic town, or just chat with others about Mini's! What else! There are many old buildings and a great pub for lunch, plus other cafes looking out over the river! Lillian tells me there are some great shops including one with the biggest range of teddy bears this side of the black stump! As most folks will have a ways to get home, I imagine people will want to get away mid afternoon, there is the option of the 'Putty Road' back to Sydney, which again is a real Mini driving experience! Will fill in more detail as I know it! Graham |

Just got off the phone with the main organiser Bruce. Route for Sunday run includes Mount Sugarloaf, a great road and top look-out over Lake Macquarie and the Hunter. Then ... 'The Gap'... through the Watagans to Mulbring. Plan is maybe to stop here and video a few guys who want to go back and have a rip up throught the pass! All legal and above board ........ Honest occifer! Then onwards and left towards Cessnock, Maitland and ultimately Morpeth. The MG Car club (Newcastle) have a 'practice day' at Ringwood Hillclimb, those who don't want to wander around Morpeth might want a quick diversion to see the Hillclimb! ![]() So all in all a packed day on Sunday as well as the big day Saturday, see the itinerary in the events section! ![]() |
