Post subject:  Shock absorbers

Now that i've got hi-los all round, should i upgrade my shock absorbers?
The ones in there are most probably the factory ones
I was looking at these http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4565787161&category=32072&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1
Anyone tried em / have comments?
For the price, its a bloody good deal.
What else is out there?
And will i notice a difference with new shock absorbers towards handling or whatever?

Thanks.

If you are goint to have your car super-low again..... try to find some LOWERED shock absorbers. They are shorter so there is less chance of bottoming out and damaging the shocker. Maybe he sells short ones too..... ask.

It's nowhere near super-low.
Marginally under normal i call it.
It really wasn't that low.
Think about that green one with whitewalls... now THATS low.

They are the same as what I have...although they are still in the box they arrived in 2 months ago.

MadMatt put me on to them and reckons they are brilliant. He ran them in his Targa Tasmania car.

Mine are SPAX 14 point adjustable.... and were $75 each new.

Who cares about how many adjustment points there are anyway.... if you're not customising your suspension to suit a different race circuit or surface every weekend, you dont really need it to be adjustable.

Hey Matt,
They're called Gas-A-Just or something, does that mean they're actually adjustable, or are they one of those "self adjusting" things like sens-a-trac or something.

If they are adjustable, are they adjustable on car??

They seem like a reasonable buy - i should invest in some - but should probably replace my rubber cones first!!

I think the KYB's are self adjusting... have never seen any real info on them.
