no i dont think so. cool rims, and they are definately beter, and new rims made mine look far better, but there are other things that you can do to ahve a very shibby looking car and still have standard rims.

but your new rims are definately quite rad. good stuff

In most cases, they do. A bad rim can ruin a great car (i'm talking all cars, not just Mini's).

In Mini's with standard wheels, a set of rims can instantly up the apearance for sure, even if the rest of the car is a bit to be desired.

Absolutely!!! I had the old 12x5 superlites on my LS, but everyone has them, so i put some old-school Hotwires on instead.

I'll be getting some other, tougher looking wheels for my sticky rubber, though.

the hotwires dont have as much offset as the superlites, they need a deeper dish to look fully sick

Wheels can definately make or break a car.... especially if the rest of the car is perfect.

But different wheels do not have the same effect on a mini, compared to putting new wheels on, for example, a Mercedes.

You take a stock black Merc, fit some 22 inch deep dish rims, and the car will take on a whole new feel.

You put 13's or 14's on a stock mini, and it doesnt change as much. Minis require alot more work to help show off new wheels, simply because they are an old car.

Its hard to explain.

dunno why you would want 14's on a mini..
its the same as 17's or 18's on a bini.. it just makes it look stupid imho

10's 12's and 13's all look wicked in different ways

you cant go past superlites, they're the most common because they simply look fantastic and totally suit the car.

Well, you be the judge................

from this:

.....even if the car body wise or any other aspect is a bit tired, the right set of rims can make or break the car

Wheels on a car are like a pair of shoes to women, you need more than one pair depending on the occassion. The classic look, the tough look, the SIK look etc etc. Just ask your partners(girlfreind's/wife etc)

Cheers

Aaron
