Well i was doin the pulsar dizzy conversion (second one)... Anyway first I lose the pin from the mini dizzy in inches thick of saw dust, paint shavings, wood chips, and all the other rubbish on the floor in the workshop. After spending around 40mins looking for it with a magnet I gave up.. Then I proceeded to stab my hand with a screw driver, trying to clean the inside of the drive dog (don't ask). And finally I lose the washer from the Pulsar dizzy along with the pin. If anyone needs help fixing anything on their mini, I'll be glad to help ![]() |

Well I think this was a particularly bad day. But generally I'm not very good. I'm better at pulling things apart then putting them back together. The first pulsar dizzy I did went nice and smooth.. Maybe I over estimated my skills this time ![]() |

I can sympathise h0nk. I used to always end up with spare bolts and screws when I put things back together. ![]() I used to believe that they put extra bolts andscrews in everthing to give us a hard time. Dan P.S. My mates motorbike seems fine, even passed pink slip. But just in case we put all the leftover bolts in the compartment under the seat. ![]() |

Ahh I wouldnt be too worried about not being able to fix anything... It all comes with time. TRUST ME.. I replaced a welsh plug the other day. That was a step up from being able to flush the radiator. NEXT, I am going to swap engines and install discs. ![]() ![]() |

Well things are looking better today.. It's all fixed up. I didn't find the pin from the mini dizzy.. SO I got a 3/16" drill peice, hammered it in and cut it to size.. I'm sure dad will be happy when he finds his drill peice half the length it used to be ![]() I'm just wondering how other people went about machining 1mm off the mini driving dog? (excluding people with lathes) I just attacked it with the angle grinder, not the most accurate way but it gets the job done. Are there any better methods? |
