I recommend caution here Chris...try and have a drive of one with a smaller wheel first if you can....
with 6s you may find that you develop popeye forearms
I would go for a very slightly smaller than original three spoker

What size steering wheel is good on a mini with 6'' road wheels? Does the width of the road wheels make a big difference? I was originally thinking of putting a wheel from a Triumph Dolomite or 2500S on it as they are about 14'' and not a bad wheel at all. I bet they fit the spline size. All the Pommy cars seem to have a standard spline on the column. |

I think my SAAS wheel in JAM is 14 inch and I think it's too big! Kev that wheel in Ha Ha is the perfect size! Still feels a bit slippery though! |

Kev that wheel in Ha Ha is the perfect size! Still feels a bit slippery though! The one in Ha-Ha at the mo is a pretend wood SAAS, it's a bit less than 14". MotaLita leather one needs recovering when I get a round tuit.

I had a 10" wheel on my clubby running similar tyres & loved it
but some of my friends found it a struggle 
Most state laws (WA included) specify a min. of 12", so watch for that! |

I've just tossed the bus wheel for a "Borrowed" 14" sports wheel. Awesome. Just the right size. I have a limited slip diff and wouldn't want to go any smaller as it just about rips your arms orf when you put the right foot down! |

I had a 10" MOMO Tossed it for a 15" 1275GT steering wheel (leather covered) i LOVE it.. The steering response is so much more precise... I'll never go back to a small wheel..... J |

14" or 13" is definately the way to go, any smaller and i find that u loose that feel, u know the one  .

yeah small ones are scary in the wet, you cant feel anything. Hey kev, i also have a motolita that needs re-leathering let me know when you get it recovered. |

This is my wheel and I find it a little small. It's also worn out so I'm looking to replace it. 
Is it a Mini wheel or is it just some POS aftermarket thing? At first I thought it was a generic aftermarket wheel but then I saw one for sale that was identical and was listed as a Morris Mini Cooper wheel or something. |

Mountney make some great wheels in leather and wood, they look the part for a classic english cars (the usual 3 or 4 spoke designs) and are pretty good quality. In the UK they;re approx 20 - 25 pounds. I love my 4 spoke 13in one. |

I think bigger is better, my wife's clubman has a LS 1275 3 spoke leather wheel & my Cooper S has a late clbman 3 spoke plastic wheel, but we use our car for motorkhana's so its good to have a big wheel for easier turning. Bob take note of what i just said when the next khana comes along. Doogie |
