I got a blue slip for the CS on Friday All went well ,although he said it feels a bit harsh I fitted Polypropylene bushes in the engine stay should they be rubber,
I only use rubber bushes for the top engine steady - they don't move around much

Also when I fitted the gearbox extension mount I had to really lever it into position
I'm concerned about this bit - you shouldn't need to force anything to fit up - the top engine steady has a proper direction and does affect the position of the motor if not correct, so therefore where the remote ends up, and the remote bracket has its fore-aft adjustment.
I did mine last weekend - engine steady on, lift up the remote up - if the linkage doesn't engage I put a jack under it with a little bit of pressure and wiggle the gearstick, then it just slides up and bolts in.
