Post subject: | Rear Seat Belts |
I was replaceing the rear seat belts in the clubbie this arvo. With a good set from one of my parts cars & I noticed that both cars had odd belts in the rear. I was surprised that the rears had been changed as they rarely get used & the drivers ones were clearly original (right down to the missing plastice between the fron seats) Anyway I wondered if this was done because of the way the rear seat belts in a clubie are supposed to cross over & odd belts means you carn't get it wrong. |

Also; i thought i'd post it in here instead of makign a new thread... does anyone else have PURPLE rear seltbelts in their clubbies? I think it was Dylan that had purplies in the rear of his. I do too... ![]() Factory? or just faded oldies? |

Purple ones are faded black ones. When they fade they are weakened and should be replaced. (or turned over!) UV rays are not good to seat belts. When I was racing I used to remove the belts from the car after each meeting and store them in a dry dark place (the glove box) |
