I am trying to determine the type of finish on the door and rear pocket cards (squabs) for my Cooper if someone can offer some help please.
1. Are they trimmed with the same colour and material as used on the seats?
2. Is there any pattern pressed into the cards similar to that used in later models?
3. Has anyone had any success in locating the red material, which I think maybe Tartan Red, used on some vehicles?

Thanks in advance

The rear pockets are funny the part where the ash tray sits and the vertical into the pocket is trimmed in the cheaper trim they used for rear quarters wheel arches from the fold on the horizontal section is a course grain finish painted in a light grey. no vinyl is used on door pocket liners

I have a mate that has a early 63 997 and the rear cards plain on pattern but are thinner than the seats material, and the front door cards plain and glued to the doors and the backing is like horse hair. I also might have some material in red for the door cards.
