G'day People, I am in the process of repalcing the knuckle joint on one side of my front hydro suspension. If the knuckle has worn through the nylon cup into the actual arm, is there a diy method to repair? i.e., JB WELD stick or similar? Appreciate any feedback |

Put Araldite in bottom of hole, then push the new cup in. |

Yep, I have used Araldite in the bottom and it works great. It supports the bottom of the cup as the mating surface is no longer angular but circular. Have a read of this - http://www.dsnclassics.co.uk/technical- ... placement/ |

JB Weld is also OK. Not too much though as you want the cup to sit down in its original position. Consider some Vaseline or other lubricant on the bottom of the cup when you push it down so it doesn't stick to the filler and is then easier to remove later. In fact if you remove the cup when the filler has dried you can redrill the very small hole at the bottom, then refit the cup. |
