I have yet another problem with the mini. I have a really bad flat spot when i take off. My other half has checked the timing, replaced coil, leads, plugs, points and distributor cap and rotor. He took the carby off his K and swapped it, which made the fuel usage really good, but i still have the flatspot. He put new oil in the carby, and took that spacer out with the pipe end thing on it in case that was the problem... still the same. He even put the vacuum advance distributor out of his K into the mini.... boy is his car starting to miss parts now...lol
Anyway, ideas would be good.
Thanks.

Screw the main jet adjusting nut right up with your fingers. Then undo it 12 flats (2 turns). That's a basic starting point for mixture adjustment.
It may be screwed up too much now (too lean).

Doc..."He took the carby off his K and swapped it, which made the fuel usage really good, but i still have the flatspot".....whats the chances of both carbs being set to run lean??? Maybe a fuel delivery problem :?:
